Spent my Easter hols in Barcelona. It was a truely enjoyable trip!! Had loads of fun strolling down busy La Rambla, gwaking at majestic Gaudi architecture, shopping at Zara, feasting on Tapas, Chocolate con Churros, fanciful pastries, Paellas & simply soaking up the Barcelona sun (and rain).
our flight there on easyjet + krispy kreme

pretty port vell

and the many yatches

busy la Rambla

gothic quarters

our first lunch - Tapas & seafood paella!!

our all time favourite - Fiduea, the noodle version of paella

Cathedral of Barcelona

people queuing up to light candles during Easter

Easter bread!! - they had feathers on all the easter bread and cakes =)

pastry galore

the best (& one of the largest) Strawberry and custard tart!!

chocolate con churros - so rich and orgasmic-ally good!

Placa Reial

Easter Street Procession along La Rambla

Musical Fountain - this is seriously awesome!! (the sentosa one's like child's play as compared to this) Jing and I somehow managed to get the best spot - right in front of the fountain!! so lovely and romantic =)

we visited the famous market - Mercat de la Boqueria. They had the weirdest things!
the ENTIRE lil piglet on sale.. (they had whole rabbits as well - skinned + with bulging eyes! but it looks too gross to be uploaded)

colourful display of dried goods

our favourite tapas bar - everything's so small and pretty & highly addictive!(not to mention too good to be true)

Gaudi's work of art (1) - Casa Batllo

Gaudi's work of art (2) - La Pedrera

Gaudi's work of art (3) - Sagrada Familia
This is unbelievable!! the photos didn't do it justice.. the artwork is so intricate and detailed.. it looks kind of odd coz it's a few themes combined into one - nature, human, religious & gothic. but reli interesting. a pity it's not yet completed though - ugly ugly cranes all around!

the interior..

entrance of Park Guell - check out the Hansel and Gretal houses!

the famous (but disgusting) huge lizard thingy designed by Gaudi - wonder why everyone's fighting to pose with it

Park Guell's reli nice and rustic..love the place to bits!

Spanish Village..

Barcelona Beach...

there were a few massive sandcastles on the beach.. here's one of the nicer ones (with the sandcastle-maker posing behind)

cute spanish guys at beach volleyball training
