been looking all over singapore for a nice pretty champagne gold dress for miff's wedding. but sadly the only pretty champagne dresses tt i saw were in the display window of shops like Salvatore Ferragamo & Guess. WHY arent there any more affordable ones??

so i decided tt i'll wear a gold sari to my sis's wedding instead. she approved! think my parents will faint though. =P oh well. not their wedding anyway.. we shall see.

pk came over to bake today! heh. not bad.. quite fun but tiring! baking's no kid's job k. all tt washing and stirring and mixing and placing of tray in & out of the oven is HARDwork! (tt explains why ALL of breadtalk's bakers are ALL men.)

banana-carrot spice bar (the chefs -PK & i think tt it tastes qt nice but stupid zah insists that it's like huat kuey!! bah. ignorant. hmph!)

both the cookies taste super gd k. lalala.. common consensus!! (even the stupid huat-kuey-guy agreed) heh. but i decided tt baking's reli tiring and time consuming... sth only meant for the VERY VERY free.. so yeh. u can imagine juz how freaking bored i am. been housemaid for the past 7days since my parents went silk road for holiday.. been feeding the goldfishes, the turtle, the hamsters, the plants & my ah ma, doing the laundry, sweeping the annoying dead leaves, taking the rubbish out. bah. (and then i start wondering.. WHY on earth do we have SOO MANY PETS to feed? so many pots of plants to water, so much rubbish to clear & since there're no trees in our small little garden, where did ALL that dead leaves come from??...)

so i thought HARD and LONG.. and arrived at one conclusion: DON'T ever be a housewife!! either be a rich taitai or a career woman (and earn enough $moolah$ to employ someone to do all the feeding tt u hafto feed and clear all tt dead leaves and rubbish) yeh. fantastic idea. great. i shall work towards that. no more lazing ard at home. someone give me a holiday job!!!

#23-04 meet up!!

yupz.. finally!! a much awaited reunion with my dear roomie! heh. (soon to be ex-roomie.. sigh.. why hall 16 dun wanna take us in!! bah.. heard alot of the hostel rooms went to the scholars.. oh well. guess they do require a place to stay more than us ba. but HELLO!! i live in changi k.. and changi to ntu is like comparable to travelling to johor can. who said singapore's small??!! hmph! heartless creatures. no hall = waking up at 7am EVERYDAY for a 930am class!!! argh.. next sem i'll qualify to be a singapore-born-and-bred panda already. visit me at the zoo yeh. will be earning my moolah$$ there parading and squinting at ppl & eating my oh-so-dear-imported bamboo shoots.)

anyway.. roomie!!! it's reli great having u back!! glad u enjoyed the states =) sigh.. how i miss those days too.. the roadtrips, the dinners, grocery shopping, all that chocolate, cheesecakes, doughnuts & our 1-pound burger!! and yeh.. how can i forget my favourite "walker", indoor track, bball court & crazy table-tennis mini tournaments @ crc... oh well.. i had my fair share of fun.. come next sem.. it'll be torturous fyp & mugging again =( [cue to cry]

yupyup.. so we had lunch @ changing appetites @ marina sq.. and we talked non-stop for 4hrs straight!! amazing stamina i noe. =)

do NOT tell me tt u haf difficulty spotting me coz i'm too black and blend into my hair or sth. =P i HAVE been applying sunblock so generously tt it's clogging up all my pores already. so yeh. melanin thrives naturally on my skin. so it's reli not my fault tt i'm of this dark BUT pretty shade. blame it on agnes's camera! no flash! heh.
wait till vivien's back from her turkey grad trip & auntie lian's back from m'sia...then we'll get a full #23-04 gathering!! =)

changi naval base open house '07

went for the changi naval base open house today with haoz. it'd haf been a relireli fantastic and fun experience if not for the EXTREMELY torturous loooong wait(for everything) and the blazing hot sun.

yeh. want to hear the definition of EXTREMELY torturous long wait?? it translates to more than an hr's wait at the expo to board the shuttle bus to naval base. the amt of ppl there was simply amazing. it was a whole expo hall full of ppl wtg for the bus!! i'm so not exaggerating. anyone who's there today can vouch for me. yeh. so upon finally reaching the naval base, it was queueing up to board the different navy war crafts. think in total, we spent more than 3 hrs juz queueing up! bah. under the hot sun somemore.

alrite.. queueing aside.. the war crafts were amazing. havent been inside one before so i thot it's quite an enriching experience in itself. oh. and i got a ride on the FCU!! it's a smaller craft that's dispatched from the large LST. it's so worth the wait!! i love boat rides! =)

yup.. then had tepenyaki dinner atop jurong hill with hao's family. it's my first time there. reli pleasant place + pretty nite view of the dangerous explosive jurong island + delicious jap food!! =) shall go back there some time when i'm richer!

yup! got back to singapore this afternoon after 8 days of holiday-ing ard taiwan! it was not too bad la.. machiam like 24hrs non stop eating and shopping though. think the amount of food that i consumed for the past 8 days can probably feed a family of 4 in S.Africa for an entire wk!! oh no.. feeling super guilty =P fat fat fat.. but oh well.. muz admit that i was reli happy being a complete pig! heh. feeling super tired now though. been shopping and eating at night markets for the past few nites and waking up at 5am this morn to catch the stupid plane back. Mandarin Airlines. bah. i didnt even know this airline existed! horrendous turbulence k. tt kind of turbulence tt makes ur stomach flip over. =P anyway.. let the photos do the talking!

went vila'ge today for lunch again with hao, coz he has been dying to eat his rosti. but anyway it's cheap la. so not complaining.

watched sneak preview of 28wks later. it's about zombies outbreak in briton. quite scary k. man-eating zombies! eeeeeks. those who (for some sick reason) enjoy gory and bloody stuff.. are strongly recommended to watch it! u will be contented. =P

Brought mommy to AJITEI, a jap restaurant tucked at the back of taka square for lunch yest.. the food was FABULOUS!! =)
