Visited iceland - Reykjavik with the Stevenage gals over the wkend. It's easily the best trip ever!! ~ Hilton hotel stay (included in package), bus pick up from everywhere.. awesome buffet everyday!! haha. wat more can u ask for.. (yeh.. we're all super broke now.. but it's oh so worth it..)
Iceland's reli sparsely populated.. with a population of only slightly more than 312,000!! it's a very pretty and clean city though. and everyone speaks english!
Reykjavik - city view from Hilton hotel =)

Famous iceland skyr!! - it's yoghurt like.. but it's actually creamy cheese. super duper nice.. it's only found in iceland though..we ate loads of it!!

Reykjavik City lake

Made-in-iceland chocolates! (their chocolates here are all mostly rice kripies style or liqourice choc. eeks.. reli hate liqourice. but the locals eat them by the handful!!)

Iceland's abundant with geothermal pools.. we went to the most famous one! ~ Blue lagoon.. the place's quite huge.. very scenic.. reli relaxing =)

natural face mask!! =)

Volcanic crater lake

pretty landscape along the way.. (iceland's kinda like new zealand.. pretty scenery all around!! - mountains & clear blue skies..)

Summer in iceland is reli special.. the sun sets relirelireli late! so at 12midnite.. it'll still be bright =) they call it the midnight sun.
Strolling along the city coast after dinner (it's 10pm!!)..

all of us =)

Guilford Falls~ reli majestic and pretty!!

Icelandic horses.. apparently the import of foreign horses are banned. so the Icelandic horses are all of a pure breed. Strong & stealth! =)

the geysers... Strokkur (it erupts once every few mins!)

Icelandic meat (lamb) soup. very oily, very lamb-y.. but surprisingly nice. apparently it's reli good for winter! makes u all warm and fuzzy inside =)

at Thingvellir National Park
the Mid-Atlantic Ridge!!

and my favourite - Whale watching tour =)
it was so so cold.. welcome to summer in Iceland..

we spotted Minke Whales =)

and of coz.. how can a trip be complete without awesome food...
the food in iceland is very very expensive.. it costs approx 5pounds for a small bowl of soup. so we ended up having buffet everyday!! haha. it's around 12pounds, fills u up and more value for money! =)
Iceland's famous for their fresh fish & lamb.. so that's what we had..
pan-fried red fish!

and loads of other stuff from the buffet spread..

all in all an awesome trip!! =) back to reality for now.. no more hilton, no more chartered buses.. no more buffets..
~gone in a moment..
