juz got back from my hk hols with haoz, pk and guoqing. yeh abit of a weird combi i noe. but glad it turned out fun and everyone enjoyed themselves =)
1st day: at the airport, pk and i had our first mango dessert at xu liu shan!! simply heavenly =) we had dim sum lunch then visited the
turf club at shatin, saw the actual horse race itself.. so exciting!! the track was super huge la.. so huge that u cant see the starting point.. poor horses.. run like siao. and the jockeys were all MINI -sized!!! so so small and short.. they're guys can.. no wonder they can ride horses la.. if the horse take normal-sized ppl like us.. think their backs will break =P
anyway hk-ers are reli heavy betters.. bet like mad.. machiam like sit there the entire day juz to see horses race.. and then they'll pray like mad.. n hope their "number" runs in first. and of coz curse like mad.. after realizing that they have lost again.
hmm.. at nite we visited
victoria peak and
madam tussauds. the open-top bus and tram ride up was fun.. the view of the city lights breathtaking.. the cold winds mind blowing. heh. and then we had supper at this wanton stall near our hotel.. LOVE their wantons! big and fat fat!!=)
2nd day:
ocean park!!!!!! everything's great except for the disgustingly long and never ending escalators.. that we had to take NINE times. wah. damn slow, boring and gross.. disgusting escalators. then it was
stanley market. (not interesting) at nite we blew 20sgd on this very popular steamboat place called "you gu qi" = "got backbone". exp la.. but very yummilicious and unique!! they got custard crystal dumpling and charsiew dumpling to be thrown into the steamboat k. wonder how come s'pore's steamboat's so boring. =P then it was
ladies street at mongkok..and we went to sing ktv at nite! (we had a very hard time locating a proper "clean" ktv that wasn't sleazy and wasnt a niteclub.) but it was fun!! had mass singing session.. reli "mass singing" as in all 4 of us screamed out one song kind. =) i noe wat u're thinking.. but no.. we didnt get chased out for noise pollution.
3rd day:
Lantau island - Buddha statue ... the stupid cable car was still under maintainence testing, and so we had to ride up the mountain via bus. some pok pok bus on the pokpok road. super big headache la. hmm.. statue was juz statue lor. but we had to go see it coz we're tourist mar. =P proceeded to
da ou after that. da ou's a fishing village.. quiet peaceful simple place.. =) hmm at nite was
lan kwai fong (their pub area) and shopping and more eating and dessert-ing at tsim sha tsui.
4th day:
MACAU ------ woah.. we actually toured Macau by FOOT!! somebody applause pls. so mad la. walked and walked and walked. and wat's most ridiculous was tt we walked for 2+ hrs juz to find our portugese food!!! finally found and got to eat it of coz =) exp but scrumpilicious. so worth the long walk =) visited
ruins of st pauls.. oh.. and this macau trip made us super broke.. 70+sgd for ferry can. so broke were we that we could only WINDOW shop for the rest of the nite =P it's reli no fun being a poor-shit tourist.
5th day: our last day!! it was rest-and-relax all the way.. heh.. pk and i ate all the red bean stuff that we could (ya.. we haf an unexplainable weird addiction to all things red bean).. the reli nice sandwiches at cha-can-tings and desserts of coz =) oh.. we SAW the
fa-lun-gong rally!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! they were like having a peaceful demonstration against the chinese govt on the streets la.. soooooooo eye-opening.
yup.. hk trip was all eating and walking and feeling broke. and now i haf a disgusting sore throat=( muz thank gq for being our camera man, haoz for being our bag-carrier, handyman, canto translator and map reader, and pk for her great company! had a reli enjoyable time with u all =) hugz

btw.. last day of 2007 today.. suddenly feel reli reli old =P
lost time dun come back eh. sigh. anyways.. here's wishing everyone a very HAPPY 2008 ahead!!!
