Qn: Do you know what Hashima is? Some have claimed that it is part of the reproductive secretions of female frogs while others insist that its the stuff that male frogs produce for the process of procreation What really is it?
Ans: Hashima is not frogs' sperm as some have claimed! Commonly known as Snow Jelly, it is from the dried oviduct (fallopian tube) of the female frog found in the Chang Bai mountain region in China. The dried oviduct when soaked in water can expand to 10 to 15 times in size and has a soft glutinous/chewy taste. Eaten for its rich protein, minerals , amino acids, vitamis etc, it is suppose to nourish your lungs, kidneys and your complexion too!
oh man.. dried oviduct......... ok.. at least it's not sperm.. anyway both are juz as gross la.. but it tastes FANTASTIC!! so i'll still eat it anyway =)
